HOME SCHOOLED STUDENTS Admission requirements Contact the Office of Admissions if you have questions about your home-school qualifications or requirements for admission. This will ensure that you have time to take the ACT, meet the scholarship and financial aid deadlines, arrange your housing, and learn about what K-State has to offer you. You can apply for admission up to 18 months in advance. How to apply 1. Submit your completed application with the $30 application fee. 2. Take the ACT on one of the national test dates. 3. Submit transcript describing your high school program of study. Financial aid and scholarships Seven out of 10 K-State students who apply receive financial assistance in the form of scholarships, grants, loans, or work-study. The financial aid process is the same regardless of whether you are home-schooled or attend a traditional high school. The application process is not difficult, but it takes time and some planning on your part.
