Why our program?
We train professional pilots who are confident flying in all conditions, can troubleshoot, solve problems, make ethical decisions and exceed the expectations of the aviation industry. K-State offers 141 flight training for both associate and bachelor's level. Flight training at this location exclusively uses a fleet of Cirrus SR20 single-engine, piston-powered, high-performance aircraft that enhance a student's activity by learning to manage the power and momentum of the plane.
Training at IXD
Training at IXD is designed for students who want a flight-focused program paired with online education. Limited enrollment allows students to spend more time in the air and less time waiting to fly. A dedicated and concentrated flight schedule provides an efficient way to earn FAA ratings.
Each student cohort focuses on the same aviation concepts and learns the same flight skills during the semester. This learning style provides a different type of education than other training programs. The space at IXD offers students a place to build community while studying, pre-flighting and training in simulators.
Flight Training at New Century AirCenterOur flight training offers a personalized approach for each student and consists of four semesters earning the following FAA ratings.

Restricted Airline Transport Certificate (R-ATP)Since this program is part of Kansas State University Aerospace and Technology Campus, our training is FAA regulation part 141 approved. This allows students the opportunity to complete commercial pilot training in as little as 190 hours when obtaining a bachelor's degree. The training also allows students to qualify for a Restricted Airline Transport Pilot (R-ATP) certificate at 1,000 hours or 1,250 hours – giving students the ability to start their careers earlier. Training and education are provided by our elite staff, comprised of experts with years of both industry and education experience. |
