Girls in Aviation Day

The Kansas State University Aerospace and Technology Campus Chapter of Women in Aviation International (WAI) will be hosting its eighth-annual Girls in Aviation Day - a free program for grades K-12th, designed to introduce the possibilities available with a career in aviation.

Grade school ages K-12 are invited to this day along with their parents. If you attended this in the past, wear your Girls in Aviation Day shirt!

During the event:

  • Connect with others who are excited about aviation
  • Explore the opportunities for work and play in aviation and aerospace
  • Meet women in various fields of aviation
  • Experience exciting hands-on activities such as flight simulators and much more

Schedule of events:

8:30 a.m. | Check-in
9 a.m. | Welcome/guest speaker
9:30 a.m. | Aviation workshops
10:30 a.m. | Build your own airport
11:40 p.m. | Closing announcements

Lunch will not be served. All guests will receive a canvas bag with snacks and goodies!

Please note: All children must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of their stay at the Aviation Center.
