New Student Onboarding

Welcome to K-State Salina Aerospace and Technology Campus! We're so glad you've chosen to become a Salina Wildcat.

We know you likely have many questions about preparing for college. The first step on your journey is to complete New Student Onboarding to ensure you have all the important information you need when you step on campus. This will help answer questions about our technology, systems and processes you'll be using as a student.

New Student Onboarding is required for all new incoming freshmen and transfer students to learn about resources dedicated to student success and opportunities and comes in two parts:

Online Onboarding

• You will receive an email titled "Course Invitation" to your k-state.edu email address that you created. This will allow you access to the online onboarding through Canvas, our online course management system.
• Complete all modules in the course.

On-Campus Onboarding - New Student Orientation

• This no-cost event is a time for you to meet K-State Aerospace and Technology faculty, learn about support services available to you and engage in activities to build your support community on campus.

8:30 – 11:30 a.m. | Move-In

• • 8:30 - 10 a.m. | Harbin first floor, Schilling second floor and Earhart third floor
  • 10 - 11:30 a.m. | Harbin second floor, Schilling first floor and Earhart first & second floors

8:30 – 12 p.m. | Student ID Pick-Up | Technology Center Lobby
11:30 a.m. | Check-in & Lunch | College Center Lobby
Meal options:

• • Food trucks (located by the Student Life Center)
  • Centennial Dining Center (located in the College Center)

12:30 p.m. | Department meetings
1:30 p.m. | Scavenger Hunt | Student Life Center
1:30 p.m. | Parent/Family Meeting | Student Life Center
2 – 4 p.m. | Open Office Hours - Financial Aid | College Center - Rm. 201-202
2 – 4 p.m. | Open Office Hours - Cashier | Kuhlman Center
4 p.m. | Community Dinner | Student Life Center
6 – 10 p.m. | Downtown Salina Back to School Bash | City Lights Stage

***If you are living off campus, your suggested arrival time is 11:30 am

All students are welcome to attend the Downtown Salina Back to School Bash but are not required.
