sUAS Commercial Remote Pilot Training
Become a professional UAS pilot with this introductory course. This three-day, classroom-based course covers all aspects related to UAS operation and safety considerations. Attendees will become prepared to take the FAA Uncrewed Aircraft general knowledge exam. Passing the FAA knowledge exam allows the individual to apply for a Remote Pilot Certificate.

What to Expect
Learn from the K-State Salina UAS experts about a wide variety of UAS aspects and prepare to take the FAA exam. Guidance is given on how to set up small unmanned aircraft operations within FAA regulations. The FAA written exam is given on site on day four for Salina-based courses. Instruction is tailored to cover 14 CFR Part 107, the FAA regulation governing commercial Small Uncrewed Aircraft Systems, or sUAS. Also known as the Small UAS rule, Part 107 outlines the requirements for small UAS pilots operating UAS for work or business purposes, including obtaining a Remote Pilot Certificate from the FAA.
