Starting a UAS Public Safety Operation Webinar

Public safety agencies are one of the fastest growing adopters of uncrewed aircraft system (UAS) technology. Utilizing UAS provides opportunities and advantages to law enforcement, fire, and emergency management, but knowing where to start in developing a UAS operation can be complicated.

K-State Salina is offering a free webinar and live question and answer session to provide guidance to public safety and emergency management organizations on how to start a UAS operation. The K-State Salina UAS experts will be joined by two public safety professionals who have built their UAS operation from the ground up to provide guidance and answer questions live.

The webinar will discuss:

  • Identifying a UAS need and use cases
  • Budgeting and selecting equipment
  • Training
  • Documentation and legal framework
