K-State Salina is dedicated to providing a welcoming, safe, inclusive and caring community where the well-being of each of us is the responsibility of all of us. To enhance the learning and personal growth of students, K-State Salina provides a variety of health and wellness services, including access to mental health services through contracted counseling professionals, educational programs on important health topics, a food pantry and a variety of community resources and programs. Safety and security services, crisis assistance and student of concern support are also available to assist students in academic and/or personal crisis.

Health services
Kansas State Salina students have a variety of health care providers in Salina to choose from.
Counseling
Support Program —TELUS Health Student Support — to offers free confidential mental health and well-being support for all K-State students.
With the addition of TELUS Health Student Support, students will receive:
- 24/7 real-time, confidential mental health support services for everything from an immediate crisis to everyday concerns, via phone and online/app chat.
- Counseling from trained, master's-level, multilingual clinicians. Counselors who speak Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, French and English are available 24/7. Other languages by appointment, depending on availability.
- On-demand support — whenever, wherever — as many times as they need it, with no appointment necessary.
- Free access to LIFT, a fitness app.
The easiest way to access the service is to download the free TELUS Health Student Support. Kansas State University has made TELUS Health Student Support available for all students, regardless of where they live. You can download the TELUS Health Student Support app from either the Apple App Store or Google Play to access individual, brief, solution-focused counseling support with licensed mental health clinicians, as well as self-directed digital content.Student information is confidential so no one, including family, friends, or professors, will ever know a student used the program unless they choose to tell them.Watch the TELUS Health Student Support app tutorial video to learn more and check out the TELUS Health Student Support app today.

Crisis Assistance
The Division of Academic Success and Student Affairs team resources and mobilizes services to respond to the needs of students in crisis. Assistance is given to students to help accurately assess their situation, provide information and teach the skills students need to navigate crises. Additionally, a number of services are provided to students to assist with medical and personal emergencies and in the event of hospitalization. Read more about crisis assistance at K-State Salina.
Concerned about another student?
Are you concerned about the health, behavior, or welfare of a K-State student? One of our primary goals is to identify students who may need support or assistance early and to intervene before the student is in crisis. Learn how to report your concerns anonymously.
Safety
Students, faculty and staff share the responsibility of keeping our campus safe and together work hard to have resources in place. The university community is guided by the Principles of Community, which describes the type of safe, supportive and caring community K-State seeks to foster.
Receive emergency notifications
K-State Alerts will send you a text, email or voice message if there is an alert for your campus. Alert beacons, police public address system, social media and website postings will warn the community in the event of a campus emergency.
Utilize security measures on campus
K-State Salina Security has full-time officers that patrol campus 24 hours a day, seven days a week. K-State Police monitor numerous emergency phone call boxes located throughout the Kansas State University Salina Aerospace and Technology Campus.
Rave Guardian is an app for the K-State community that provides a direct connection to K-State police and other resources so that everyone can easily communicate all their safety needs. Its easy-to-use features help you and your friends stay safe every day.
