Uncrewed Aircraft Systems Pre-College Enrollment
Are you a current high school student looking to get early involvement in classes that will give you real world technical skills and enhance your career potential? Kansas State University Salina offers a certificate in Uncrewed Aircraft Systems technology that will teach the basics in UAS technology, design and fundamentals. After completion, students will be able to expand their education or add UAS knowledge to their skill set. K-State Salina’s industry-experienced professors will use hands-on teaching during the multirotor flight lab.
Students will have the option to become Federal Aviation Administration certified with a Remote Pilot in Command Certificate option, which allows for commercial operation under part 107
Future Ready
Students in the Introduction to UAS Technology certificate can expect training in the basics of a UAS, important safety fundamentals and the maintenance, design and construction of a UAS. Once completed, this certificate can be used in one of K-State Salina’s UAS Bachelor’s degrees: flight and operations or design and integration.
