High School Enrollment Guide
Kansas State Salina offers courses for students who desire to complete college credit while still in high school. Completing these courses is a way for high school students to receive college credit and get a head start on their post-secondary education.
Courses may be taught in respective high schools, at the K-State Salina Campus, or online.
Who qualifies to enroll in courses?
- Students who have a 2.0 cumulative HS G.P.A. and receive permission from a parent/guardian and their high school guidance counselor.
- Students can enroll in 100/200 level courses as long as they meet the pre-requisites (if any). Math courses do have an ACT/placement exam requirement as well. Interested students can check K-State’s course catalog for pre-requisite and math score requirements.
- Students wanting to enroll in 300/400 level courses will need special permission by emailing salinaprecollege@k-state.edu
Tuition and fees
High school students receive a reduced tuition rate of $125.42/credit hour. Some courses may incur a lab, software or alternative textbook fee.
Enrollment steps
Ready to enroll? Let's get started!
Billing and payment
All billing from K-State is sent electronically to the student’s K-State email address and is also available in the student’s KSIS account at https://ksis.k-state.edu. Once enrolled, the student will have at least a month before tuition is due. K-State’s billing cycles on 3 p.m. of the 15th of the month (or on the Friday before if the 15th falls on a weekend.)
Upon enrollment, tuition will be assessed to KSIS as “future due” until the next billing cycle occurs. Then the amount becomes “due now” and is due by the next billing cycle.
Payment options
Any unpaid “due now” amounts are assessed a 1.5% monthly late fee. If the student signs up for a monthly payment plan, which incurs a $45 nonrefundable fee, monthly late fees will not be charged. Students must have accounts paid in full before they will be allowed to enroll in future K-State courses and before their transcript will be released.
