Superpave Field Recertification or Provisional Exam

The CIT Program provides the following methods for obtaining certification.
Register for the option you prefer!
1. Superpave Field Recertification Exam
The exam is online and access is available upon registration. The exam is available year round with the exam period designated in your registration confirmation email and the CanvasPro course page. You must complete the exam by the stated completion date in your confirmation email and in CanvasPro. This is only available to individuals who are renewing their certification, who have been witnessed in the last 2 years, and who can provide a witness form. The written exam can be taken and submitted one time. It can be taken at the student’s location and requires an approved proctor. Registration is necessary if a retake is needed.

Prerequisite: Must hold a current Aggregate Field Tester certification and submit a witness form stating they have been witnessed in KT-15, KT-25, KT-34, KT-39, KT-56, KT-57 and KT-58. Submit witness form upon registering.

2. Superpave Field Provisional Exam

This option is for newly hired individuals who need this provisional certification to do superpave field testing over the summer months. The performance exam will need to be completed within the upcoming training season or within one year, whichever comes first. The performance exam must be completed at K-State Salina. Once the written and performance exams have been completed, the certification will start on the date of the written exam, not the performance exam. The written exam is administered online at the student’s location and requires a supervisor or supervisor approved proctor. This option is not available for recertification.
