Are tickets for guests required?
Guests do not need tickets for the event.
Does a student need to RSVP for the ceremony?
RSVP's will not be required for commencement ceremonies. We look forward to welcoming all graduates able to attend their commencement ceremony.
Will there be assigned seats for guests?
No, there are not assigned seats. Seating is on a first come, first serve basis. Because of the size of the venue, there will be plenty of seating for those who wish to attend.
When will guests be permitted into the Student Life Center?
The Student Life Center will be open for guests to enter and exit as needed after 5 p.m.
When are graduates expected to arrive at the Student Life Center?
Graduates should plan to arrive by 6:15 p.m. and bring their printed GradPass with them.
What if there is inclement weather?
Ceremonies may be delayed or canceled due to inclement weather. Further information will be distributed closer to the event if there appears to be a likelihood of a winter storm or other event.
How long will the ceremony be?
We anticipate the ceremony lasting between 45-60 minutes.
Will a live stream be available?
Yes, family and friends can view a live stream of each ceremony by clicking on the live stream link located on the ceremony schedule. Ceremonies will also be recorded for future viewings.
Can any student participate in the commencement ceremony?
The fall 2022 commencement ceremony includes summer 2022 graduates and applicants for graduation for the fall 2022 semester. Questions regarding exceptions should be directed to the Dean's Office or the Salina Registrar’s Office.
How do I order regalia?
All degree candidates participating in commencement ceremonies will wear academic apparel. To order your cap and gown, contact Lindsay Ancira at 785-826-2923, email l.ancira@follett.com, or stop by College Center bookstore to place your order. Place your order early.
How will I receive my diploma?
The Registrar’s Office will mail diplomas at the conclusion of each term. Diplomas will be mailed to the diploma address listed in each graduate's KSIS account. Please review this information to ensure your graduation materials are sent to the correct address.
